Actually it isn't that at all. A lot of men have been trained to not start or do anything unless their partner asks or tells them because we've taken it upon ourselves to do something that needs to be done yet are criticized on how we did it or once we're finished we get hit with a "why didn't you do this" instead of any appreciation or thanks so we just wait to be told what to do because we would rather be criticized for not doing something over doing that thing and being criticized anyway. It's a lose lose situation for a lot of men.

No they makes sense.. like when the check engine light comes on.. you DON'T call him you just replace the o2 sensor and drive on right? Or when the outlet pops and needs replaced.. you just GO OUT get a new outlet and install it right... you SEE IT NEEDS DONE, so you just do it... or do you add that to a honey do list...... hmmm

I want my husband to ask what I need help with because there are certain things I like doing myself, such as laundry and dishes. If he does them without asking if I need/want him too, often it is not helpful.

mice breaking point was having worked for 8 hours commuted back and forth walked in to open the door to smell dog shit and trash for my husband and my mother to adults sitting in the house letting it smell. now my mom gets a slight pass because she is a visitor but her dog was also there so she has a responsibility to pay attention. My husband yes he worked as well but he had been home for 2 hours Just sitting in the filth and the smell. And I know damn good well his nose is better than mine. I lost my shit that day My mom jumped up she knew she ran and clean the shit up I took the trash out. My husband just looking at me in disbelief.
