@mackavelimillz: 3 Hot Takes About Scandinavia From an American Who Lives Here |PART2 #norway #livinginnorway #stayathomewife #americaninnorway #scandinaviatrustculture
Scandinavia isn't a utopia. I love my country, but all three countries have their issues and problems that we must work on.

Nobody here in Scandinavia is saying that it is classless.

I’ve seen about 20 videos from you on my feed and got to say (as a Norwegian) you are always spot on. You really understand things and explain them in the best way I’ve ever heard. For any newcomers in our society who wants to learn, this account is easily the best source

Spot on! It's also important to note that Norway absolutely has stark economic class differences as well. Not as big as some other places, sure, but still very noticable

The ”don’t be different” thing is so true. As someone that was born and raised in Sweden I was extremely bullied as a kid because of my adhd and creativity making me very authentic as a person. That is very real and it cost me a lot of years in all of my teens when I didn’t dare to be myself because I wanted to fit in. Now as an adult living in Oslo idgaf, but I also dont have any friends, because authenticity and building authentic friendships is way more important to me than fitting in with boring conforming people I dont even want to fit in with anymore.

hierarchy is social rather than visible. I think who is friends with who is much more revealing and in general hierarchy is still there it’s just invisible for most outsiders. It’s hidden in the social code

I see you have never followed Scandinavian politics where they constantly talk about the working class and the 1 percenters. Also, as you talk about Scandinavia, we do not use the same word in Swedish. We say "jämlikhet" which doesn't mean people should be the same. And "utanförskap" here has nothing to do with being the same. It means living without social contacts with the rest of the community and is about adults.
