@aussiemammoth1: Once upon a time, I lived in the womb of the person in this grave for nine months—my mother. I kicked, I moved, and I kept her awake through countless nights. She nourished me from the food she ate, carried me with love, and then, together with my father, raised me and sacrificed so much for me. Today, I stand beside her grave as her son, making du’a for her, because we miss her more than words can describe. A mother can never be replaced. Her mercy, her love, and her sacrifices are unlike anything else in this world. Allah reminds us: “And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you show kindness to your parents…” (Surah Al-Isra 17:23) If your mother is still alive, cherish her, honour her, and serve her before the day comes when all you can do is stand at her grave and make du’a. And if she has returned to Allah, never stop praying for her, because one of the greatest gifts a child can give their parents after their death is sincere du’a.
