![I know this kind of edit is very different from what I usually post, but this one is dedicated to anyone struggling with any kind of mental illness. One thing I’ve noticed is that people are often quick to show compassion when someone is physically ill, but when it comes to mental health, it’s too often dismissed or misunderstood, as if we chose to feel this way. Recovery isn’t easy, and no one can fight this battle for you. But you don’t have to go through it alone. The people around you and mental health professionals can make a real difference, and asking for help is never a sign of weakness. If you’re struggling, please don’t keep everything bottled up. Talk to someone you trust, open up to your loved ones, and, if possible, reach out to a mental health professional. It won’t solve everything overnight, but it’s an important first step. My dms are always open if you need advice or simply someone to talk to.
