RSL The defender entered at the perfect range and contact height, with his belly button positioned in front of his lead-leg kneecap at the moment of impact, creating a dominant hip position. He then transferred force from his back foot into his lead leg, applying LAW (Last Action Wins). By accelerating into contact faster than the ball carrier was travelling, he generated momentum, dominated the collision, and launched through the body. The system he used: • Chose the violent-action route from approximately a 45° angle. • Increased closing speed by transferring from his outside foot onto his lead leg. • Dropped his centre of mass and loaded his “hammer” (lead leg). • Matched his shin and spine angles, creating a direct force pathway. • Targeted the pocket with the least mass (Pocket 3). • Drove underneath the VIR, manipulating the runner’s centre of mass. • Never stopped moving, extending through the knee and launching beyond the collision. • Kept his collar bones square to his frame, eliminating structural force leaks. • Connected with the edge of the pocket, forcing the runner into rotation.
