World of darkness the 1st boss. I already don’t want to be here for the 50th 11th billion time & the voke war makes it last longer. The poor sprouts think they are bad at mechanics when it’s the tanks being tools 🤦♀️

I just pop tank stance and whichever tank has the highest DPS gets to main tank. Provoke is for cowards and the occasional mechanic.

My favorite thing as a healer is when a first-timer tank keeps losing against mechanics but vokes off the surviving tank as soon as they're raised 🙄

I tank and im fully bis geared the most comical point is watching them desperately try to pull the boss of of me with voke only for it to turn back and face me hahaha

doesnt help that the wow vets are coming to ffxiv and the threat mechanics arent the same so they just be pressing buttons needlessly some times.

sooo, i will say from personal experience, if the other tank has aggro, I'm not touching provoke. I'm just going to keep generating enmity to keep myself as the 2nd target IF Tank 1 goes down. Cleave attacks are not fun for our healers to try to heal through if it hits the whole group.

the most annoying co-tanks are when you provoke to get the boss into a good position then the other tank provokes it somewhere completely random in the area like dude if you want mt just stand next to me and take it idm not being the mt just keep the boss stilll

I stopped doing positionals a long long time ago, the dmg drop off is only 1%-3% and im totally fine with that 😂 and the game immediately got more fun

it ps me off as a tank, who taught people to add provoke into a damn rotation, I always say when I'm not tanking "if your going to fight for tank, tank on top of each other dammit"
