I got my admission in December 2024, and due to preparation, I started Year 1 in February 2025 at IMSU Owerri. At first, I was enjoying every bit of school life. But after my first month in school, I noticed a swelling in my neck. I thought it was something minor that would go away on its own, but it kept getting worse. I went to *Humanity Specialist Hospital, Owerri*. After several scans and tests, the result showed a lymph node issue and the doctor said I needed surgery. The bill was over ₦400,000. My dad had to come down to Owerri to take care of me while we prepared for the operation. After we paid more than half of the bill, the surgeon who was supposed to operate on me examined me and said: _"This is not a lymph node. I cannot just cut without knowing what is there."_ They brought in another surgeon, and he advised us to do a *CT Scan*. We did the scan, and the result showed that there was something blocking my nose that needed urgent attention. He said the swelling in my neck was not for surgery. My dad approved, and I had a *biopsy operation*. My dad took the sample to be tested to know the exact cause of the swelling. After the test result came out, we were referred from Owerri to *LUTH, Lagos*. We traveled back home to Lagos, and at LUTH, the doctors told me I would need *Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy*. The cost: *₦5,000,000*. My family cannot afford it. We have also tried herbs and spent a lot, but the swelling in my neck keeps getting worse.
