get an accountant my love, save throughout the year. AuDHD myself and was self employed for 10 years then went on to gain employment normally and went through 10 jobs in 2 years, now restraining to be self employed again it's the way forward for us. also see about access to work. it's a long wait list but will be worth it in the end for things to help you x

my dad advised me to open a separate bank account save for the tax bill every month. There is a tax calculator on line. if you put extra cash in every month its a good way to save. I believe that finding our tribe is the best support. Good luck I hope it goes well. I believe that you will succeed because you are not afraid to ask for help. I use chatgbt to help with a lot of that, if you can afford to, it might be worth hiring an accountant for £300ish a year.

I have ADHD and the best thing I did was get a pro Claude subscription and just use voice to text to chat to him. I have a chat for each subject and explain to him what I want and who I am and how I need help. He walks me through everything and can solve problems with info and steps so well. Better than the failure of system of we have. You should give it a try

you can go to the job center for help or do a short bookkeeping course online. Ask AI to give you a structured guide in the subject for adhd.

I have pondered this option a GREAT deal. The main problem I have encountered is the informal networks & cultures that surround most industries. So even when you move away from being under some workplace system, it turns out you are still surrounded by all sorts of folks that make up arbitrary dislike of you & nefarious motivations. (I have already been comprehensively sabotaged once, just last year). That said, that is still my plan. All the best with your plans.
