I think it's ok to teach kids religion, but in a way where they feel ok if they don't believe in it in the future. My parents, for example, have taught me about god since I was small, but still made it clear that no matter what rituals I did I was never forced to stay Christian

my private Christian School is so fckng sexist I wish I was homeschooled but if I tell my parents im atheist they'll definitely hate me and I can't tell them because I'm a minor and I don't want to get kicked out:(

I was one of those kids, obviously hell scared me and judgemental day but the things that stuck to me the most was that God could see everything you do and he could predict everything you're about to say and think. I was so uncomfortable doing things by myself in my bedroom cus of this and I remember forcing myself to read the Bible and keep promises and even restrict myself from YouTube videos or channels if they even used the word god in the inappropriate context. As an adult with full privacy I still struggle with the "God sees everything" BS even tho I don't believe anymore
