It really took a governor to invent the concept of a meterred electric bill? Do you mean the type of usage bill every day Americans deal with every month? Did corporations just pay a one-time monthly fee for unlimited data? I mean electricity?

Data centers need to come with their own power sources, either extensive solar panels or their own winter turbines that accept their use and are connected to the grid so they should eventually be power neutral

So can they now lower regular residents energy rate since our rates were raised because these energy companies were talking about supply and demand? Make the data centers pay more for their own increased demand, not having that cost shared among residents too

Just remember that data centers can be environmentally, friendly and not drain a town of all its water. They choose not to because it is cheaper for them to make the communities they are in suffer for their own benefit.
