The typical flavor of the sauce served with Korean fried chicken comes mostly from gochujang and mulyeot, which is Korean corn syrup. The spiciness of the gochujang and the sweeteness of the mulyeot create a wonderful synergy👌🏻 Ingredients : 2 lb cut up bone in chicken pieces Lemon juice 1 tsp salt White pepper powder Batter: 1/2 cup AP Flour 1/2 cup Potato starch 1 tsp Garlic powder 1 tsp White pepper powder 1 tsp Curry powder 1 tsp Paprika powder 1/2 tsp Ginger powder 1 tsp salt 1/2 cup cold water Seasoning sauce for 6-8pieces : 1/4 cup mulyeot/Korean corn syrup 1/4 cup water 1 tbsp ketchup 1 1/2 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp white pepper powder 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp gochugaru 1 tbsp gochujang 1/2 tsp vinegar How to make : 1.Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and cover them with lemon juice, sea salt & black pepper. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes 2.Add all the better ingredients except the water to another bowl and mix evenly 3.Coat the chicken pieces in the dry batter & shake off any extra dry batter 4.Add cold water to the reaminung dry batter & mix well to make wet batter. Then dip the chicken pieces and deep fry the chicken in the heated until LIGHT golden brown, then briefly cool them off on a paper towel or strainer (for about 5 minutes).
