@opallauryn: We will never really know the ripple effects of our small moments of bravery and kindness, thank goodness for that. #kindness #patriarchy #matriarchy #bethechange #healing
This is a story that every single woman can relate to at some level. It’s a harsh reality that we all share. However, we all have the choice to let fear immobilize us or to let it inspire us to speak up for ourselves and others as you have been inspired to do. The bravery of those two strangers caused a ripple effect and now you’re doing the same, that is beautiful ✨💓✨

Wow! Thank you for sharing this experience. What a terrible situation to be in and I don't know you but I'm grateful for those two guys who protected you, someone they didn't even know and, put themselves in possible harms way.

I love this story. I believe when we die that we get to see how our actions rippled and made others feel so our souls can grow and heal. And those two men will see this moment and how it positively impacted you. But then also how it impacted the hundreds of people who saw this story since you decided to share it. 🥰

This story made me slow down from my scrolling. I couldn’t quite tell where it was going at first, but I’m so glad I stuck around. I work in retail and I have for years now, and the amount of times soemthing similar has happened is just so overwhelming to contend with. I just hope that some day, instead of staying quiet and apologizing to me after the aggressor has left, the people in line would say anything. I hope that one day I can do that for someone else.

this reminds me of a similar thing I experienced riding home on the bus. a mentally ill passenger got on and happened to lock eyes with me and started getting aggressive, he shoved my head a little, etc, started yelling at me - meanwhile I'm just kind of frozen because this man is unwell and anything I do could escalate things in a way I didn't want. but then a middle aged woman got up and physically placed herself between this man and I, put her hand on my shoulder and just kept saying "just look at me, look at my face, it's going to be fine, it's gonna be fine" and her choice to diffuse and redirect the situation helped all of us that day, so much. I think about her a lot and about how grateful I am for her choice to be brave and kind to me as a complete stranger.

I’ve been there. A friend from my college was on the bus and we had the same stop. When we got off, the creeper got off as well and my friend held by hand and we ducked into a nearby mall and into a store. He lost our lead and one of the store clerks stepped outside and saw the man leave the mall. My friend walked me all the way home and I was grateful for all the people who stepped in to help. At the same time I remain mad that this was necessary. 💕

in my experience its women or gay men that come to the rescue of anyone against grown ass men who are predators. if all these so called "good guys" would start holding the bad guys accountable maybe things would start to change. I'm happy your ok and have found the strength to use your voice for yourself and others. we need more ppl like you.
