@meg.beacon: My coffee is out of reach. I need the bathroom. My phone is balanced on one hand because I don’t dare move. And honestly… I wouldn’t change it. These naps can feel long. Sometimes they’re the only way Riley will sleep. Sometimes I catch myself wondering what everyone else is doing while I’m sitting in the same spot for an hour. Probably folding laundry. Going for a walk. Getting things done. Then I opened the map. There were moms everywhere. Some feeding babies. Some rocking babies. Some awake after another broken night. Some, I’m willing to bet, trapped under a sleeping baby just like I was. Every little dot is a real mom living her own version of motherhood in that exact moment. Different house. Different baby. Same love. Same exhaustion. Same willingness to sit completely still because your baby finally fell asleep on you. Motherhood can feel incredibly lonely sometimes, even when you have a tiny person attached to you all day. But seeing those other moms reminded me that these little moments aren’t just mine. They’re ours. So if you’re reading this with a sleeping baby on your chest, unable to move because you don’t want to risk waking them… I see you. And so do thousands of other moms. 💛 #momlife #newmom #motherhood #contactnap #momcommunity
