@filmacting111: Mark Hamill, born in Oakland in 1951, is known worldwide as Luke Skywalker, but he built a second career as one of the most respected voice actors alive, most famously as the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and the Arkham video games. In this SAG-AFTRA Foundation conversation he offers a bar bet: everyone assumes his Emmy came from voicing the Joker, but he says he was never even nominated for that role. His actual Emmy win came for a show he says he had never heard of and had never seen. That win was a 2018 Daytime Emmy for his voice work on the Disney animated series Elena of Avalor, while his celebrated Joker performance earned him a BAFTA for the Batman: Arkham games rather than a television award.
