1978 it happened to me but I had one difference and that one difference changed my story I was 15 and my dad although shocked asked me what I wanted and I said I wanted the baby so he stayed by me and refused to send me to home! I have my son and raised him. When I hear these stories it breaks my heart because if not for my dad this would have been me and my life would have been shattered like these poor woman. 💔

My grandmother gave birth at 15 in 1969 and the gp was on her side however the midwives were vile to her apparently. She was unwed single mother but her parents/my great grandparents supported her every step of the way. These stories are so sad

how do we find these babies who were forcibly adopted? my grandma had her baby taken from her in the 50s. as far as we know no proper records. tried to get on long lost family as well to no avail.

I was born in 1988 my mam was 18 having me and her mam was so supportive my remembers other girl same age as her was forced to give her baby up and was put on a ward with mothers and their babies my mam was heartbroken for her
