Korean matchmaking companies evaluate people using their own set of criteria and match people with similar profiles. So, I will tell you 7 factors we look at. 1. Which university did you graduate from? One of the biggest factors is whether you went to a university in Seoul. 2. What is your job? Doctors, lawyers, and employees at major companies like Samsung are generally considered the most desirable. 3. Salary The expectations are much higher than the actual median income in Korea. 4. Assets Owning a home instead of renting is a major advantage. If you own an apartment in Seoul, your score goes up significantly. 5. Family background This tends to matter more for women. A person's parents' occupations and wealth are often taken into consideration. 6. Height This tends to matter more for men. The preferred height is well above the national average. 7. Appearance In the past, this was considered much more important for women. But these days, more women also place a high value on men's looks, so appearance has become an important factor for both.
