Do people not hem or take up trousers that are too long for them? I'm a tall girl, but still hem my trousers if they need it. Takes 5 mins if you have a sewing machine, then the fabric won't be at ground level to step on if your feet get too close together which seems to be what a lot of people who are falling have done. I may be wrong, but they look far too long on every person I've seen falling over

I have worn wide leg jeans and trousers since first year of senior school 33 years ago (and ridiculed for it in the early years, justifiably) with no problem at all - I wore these trousers out to a Carnival on Saturday and fell over 3 times 😳 I had to send myself home at 7pm, I’d become a burden 😂

It’s not just Zara. It’s wide leg trousers in general. I stopped wearing them years ago after several near misses including twice at the top of stairs. At first I thought the problem was caused by the pointed toe shoes I was wearing but the same thing happened when I was barefoot wear wide leg PJs. If your foot gets caught in the hem the extra fabric acts as a hobble so you can’t you step forward and stay upright.

This happened to me with normal pyjamas, big toe getting stuck while walking down the stairs! Had to swap to cuffed pjs when I had kids!
