Wait! You missed something. Whitney's mom and aunt ( Dionne Warwick) were in show business. They DIDN'T tell her to write her own songs because the songwriter gets the 2nd biggest piece of the financial pie.. Recording company gets the biggest. The singer gets minimum from each song played on the radio. ( Justin Bieber asks for co-writer credits for this reason. ) Whitney made many people rich because she sang other people's songs. This was a big financial mistake which should not happen because her mom knew about it.
