There are a few hate comments, but like...you're not wrong. When budgeting for top surgery you should absolutely take into account how far away you'd have to travel for it. If you have to save for a couple months more in oder to afford the extra miles, DO it. It's safer.

I wish I had more of a choice when it came to my surgeon but with how the public healthcare system works in Canada you just get placed on whichever waiting list has room, suppose I can’t really complain though because it was free and my results are pretty decent

My trans roommate got his done at an oncology clinic and it went awesome! They went above and beyond to make sure he healed nicely and were very kind when he had some scarring issues and helped him work it out. They appreciate working on trans patients because it’s the one time the surgery is filled with joy. :D

it’s tough to hear but quality is the most important priority of top surgery. this will probably mean more money and a longer wait time. but this is something that will effect your body the rest of your life, and could cause skin and muscle damage if botched. plus it’ll take way MORE money and time to get it corrected.
