From our own suffering we should have empathy for how love suffers to exist. Hope contends against calamity, but without suffering an impending reckoning would even be crueler. Oddly, only a charmed life could so devalue suffering or to say many have found comfort by faith in the midst of tremendous suffering. May God richly bless you to the advancing of His kingdom, to the praise of His glory.

The Hebrew word for heaven is a combination of fire and water, suggesting that God is a paradox in which both states exist harmoniously in perfect balance. We exist outside of that paradox, currently in a state of "water" (symbolized in the flood, baptism, etc) and told we can't survive the state of "fire" (symbolized as hell, the pure light of God). We can only survive both states within the paradox of a harmonious whole.
