We are thousands of Afghan SIV applicants who have successfully completed our interviews and received Chief of Mission (COM) approval after years of waiting. We are now waiting for our visas and asking the United States to honor its promise to Afghan allies. Many of us are currently affected by 221(g) administrative processing and the 212(f) travel restrictions, leaving us stranded in third countries with uncertainty, legal challenges, and serious security concerns. What is the value of completing interviews and receiving COM approval if visas are not issued? Many of us are living in extremely difficult conditions in third countries, struggling every day with financial hardship, legal uncertainty, and fear for our future.
