This sport is insane. Balogun gets the red card and every coach, player and sports caster says it's a horrible red card, shouldn't have been called, should've been a yellow at most, etc. but when Fifa delays the suspension of it, it's a disgrace to the game. The thing about the next card being overturned is really silly to me. If there is a red card that is determined to have been improperly given, yes, they should overturn it. In fact, they should work on implementing some sort of appeal system for later tournaments.

Bad red card, but you have to stick with the referee’s decision. And overturning rulings without explicitly specifying that you may do so before the tournament starts makes it only feel like favoritism in this moment. Especially for a host nation.
