@evautoalex: EV charging is easier than expected. Charging costs WAY less than gas. Most EV owners charge overnight. Home charging or Supercharging? #ev #charging #supercharging #kilowatt
Before I got an EV I was paying $120 for my home electricity bill. Got a model Y juniper. Because I use over 1k kilowatts a month I get $100 discount from my electric company. My electric bill is STILL $120. So I’m not paying anything to charge my Tesla. Best decision I made

It’s not just about charging. It’s also about having the level 2 equipment installed along with a possible electrical panel upgrade for the equipment. With those costs in mind it could take up to 3 years just to break even from charging as opposed to gas. That upfront cost could be upwards of $5k. So charging isn’t the whole story here.

Let me just say if ur fueling up a car and it cost u 100$ a week but an EV cost u 0$ a week, lets say.Thats 5200$ a year.u ain’t getting rich from that but it is a come up. Too bad it’s not 0$ to charge an EV.I wish they would stop saying ur gonna save soooo much money. U still gotta by tires and Teslas burn up tires fast and there is some up keep u have to do.Do ur homework before u decide to buy an EV. This guy seems to be a honest salesman and I think will do u right if u really want one but I wouldn’t expect to get rich cause u have an EV now. Know what ur getting into. The Teslas r good looking cares so if u want one go for it!

what about the driving range on a 100% charged battery I understand if you are pulling something it will be different but for my question let's assume you are just driving not pulling anything

Until I can charge an EV from empty to full in the same amount of time it takes me in a gasoline engine, I’m out.

I’m sure you already did at one point, but you should really explain the levels of charging. It trips people up so much. Everyone tells me how they heard it takes days to charge my car. It’s like yeah, if I’m plugging it into the same outlet I plug my phone into

Alex good discussion but units of storage in battery are in kWh. Rate of charging is in kW.

I love my tesla, I just wish more dealers fully explain that yes they are cheaper to operate, but the same cost as a gas engine vehicle to own, fsd cost, higher registration for ev, insurance way more expensive, but for equal cost I will take the car that does way more...love the channel man

Battery capacity is energy measured in kWh, not kW. Power is measured in kW, they are not the same thing.

You know the thing I think people need to be told is why you don’t charge past 80% on a fast charger 🔌. I see people going to 100% and then complaining about the time…
