It is our fosters who take a dog sight unseen because they want to help a former research beagle. These are different “rescue” dogs. Never had a life in a home - never experienced choice. It’s not easy to care for these dogs to be honest. They will test your patience and make you feel like you’ve failed them. BUT - all those feelings - all those moments when you want to cry - THEY ADD UP - and you wake up one morning and realize THIS IS MY DOG - this is my baby who lived through it all - and I love them. And everyday after you wonder “HOW DID I EVER LIVE Without this DOG?” And you’re grateful - because they are yours - and you are theirs.
