Even though Asha Sharma is the one Laying off the employees, it's ultimately Phil Spencer's fault for buying more than Xbox could handle and somewhat forcing Asha to lay off those employees.

If they’re reducing the number of managerial layers by that much I wonder how many of the 3200 layoffs are just middle managers rather than devs and artists (hence the lack of studio closures)

I blame phil Spencer, Asha sherma made the best possible decisions that she could’ve tbh. She had to make sure that no games got cancelled and that no studio got shut down. It still sucks that so many people lost their jobs but the blame lies on phil Spencer and his horrible management of Xbox

I FUCKING KNEW IT. Everyone was mad that mojang took forever with updates, but I swear they said it themselves that they have to get approval when adding new stuff especially when it comes to making sure its appropriate for minecraft.

This sucks cuz this isn’t HER fault. Phil was ruining the company and now she has to pull some hard decisions to get some revenue going. Also more people look forward to this bigger company titles, so it makes sense to give them the money these guys were taking. It’ll profit them more. Also W getting rid of the 14 management layers

Asha isn't trying her best, she is just making decisions based on the financial information. you don't bring in someone with no gaming experience to save your gaming division. you bring them in to gut it and have something that might work lol. why did anyone think she was going go save anything
