hi, zoologist here, pandas are real, but, they don't occur naturally. Pandas have been lab bred to have these characteristics. China wanted a unique animal that no one else could have, and they created the panda.

To add to this. Every single panda in an American zoo is literally owned by china/japan (whichever one idr) and our government only holds a lease to “rent” the panda for a time. Or so I’ve heard..

ok I have nothing to say about anything you've said but I'm with you what I do n have to say is there was a taxidermy panda at a museum I'd go to a lot this panda didn't look right and I wanna say it could be just a bad mount but it was just off somehow and it still doesn't sit right with me...

bamboo is a super resilient natural resource so they engineered this thing to eat it and also something about it eventually becoming/replacing the dragon as a symbol of Asia or China - that's what i heard 🤷♀️

I find it super interesting how nowadays pandas are such a huge face of asian culture, yet in history there was never any pandas, 9 other animals including dragons, so pandas aren’t real yet, dragons were (dino’s).

Th British used to think many animals found in Australia were hoaxes, especially the platypus, when a taxidermy specimen was sent back to the UK they didn’t believe an animal like this could exist! They called it a hoax, a deliberate concoction of numerous other animals, like a beavers body and a duck’s beak sewn on. Especially that the platypus is a monotreme, an animal that lays eggs and feeds the baby milk and has a pouch. Like the echidna. So in conclusion, people are just extremely stubborn and ignorant to the vast complexities and wonders of the natural world!
