packaging for me never matters...recyclable or reusable packaging would be ideal. if you can offer them in a makeup pouch to fit the theme. or offer the plastic but recyclable. it goes in the garbage and contributes to waste and pollution.

I feel like something more handmade would suit your brand and make more sense for these beautifully crafted brushes! Maybe a wooden holder tube painted to match? Or a quilted fabric brush roll in coordinating color!

Artisan products look best in simpler packaging. It doesnt read as cheap--it reads as handmade. Yes custom packaging is nice, but i find i really appreciate the little touch of a business stamp/thank you card more than "fancy" packaging. I know the time is put in the product itself. Just the bags are fine! (I like the ones with a design, but clear is fine). If youre REALLY worried, tie a ribbon on them or something!

You should keep it in the plastic but what if you displayed it on like a quilted fabric tray kind of like my picture below? You could easily buy some Muslin fabric (which is a nice tan-ish color and emphasizes your design) and make a simple quilted rectangle and add some straps to keep them in place! Idk if it makes sense but if you want, I could sew you a mock-up of what I mean!

If I'm purchasing hand painted brushes, I might not actually like the packaging to look like something that is mass produced. I want the entire experience to feel made just for me. To me luxury isn't brand names or fancy packaging. It's more about quality and thoughtfulness. I think the cards took box with acetate window was plenty nice, but I wouldn't question any of the options you demonstrated.

A lot of big companies are trying to go less plastic because some consumers are concerned with the pollution yet other consumers like your friend could care less and want pretty packaging that’ll just end up in the garbage but cost you more money and in turn raise the price of the brushes themselves…. So it’s kind of a “do you want the customers to pay more for the packaging” or “customers can appreciate the lower cost to use a simple packaging method since it would be more on brand with your handmade brushes aspect. Humbly in the form of my own opinion 😅 the brushes are beautiful and quality will speak for itself not the packaging 😁

what about a clear zipper pouch? give the visibility you want but feels less cheap, you could even get a logo printed on the bag, making it feel more luxury

How about a handmade container as well that will double as a brush holder and perhaps a hard plastic or acrylic top that snaps onto the brush holder. Then seal with your logo tape.

Single wrapped in tissue paper with a custom tissue paper and sticker or ribbon keeping the brush safe from dust. You could then put them into a individually sized cardboard box for each brush.

Just put labeling at the top of the clear packaging like your business name and more information on top like socials or a care guide and maybe put a backing in the packaging so that its stabilized and more sturdy and it will look elevated with out breaking the bank trying to find new packging
