It depends on the people and what the boundaries are between you and your partner. Both hubby and I have had friends of the opposite sex our entire lives, and never crossed a boundary - we chat and do stuff the same way whether our partners are around or not.

Some people can, some can’t. I have male friends that I’d never date, but they’re good people and part of our crew now. Same for my partner. Now anyone we knew and liked before each other? We’d be polite if we saw them, but neither of us talk to them anymore because that would be weird.
