I like to use 1 part micellar water and 3 parts rubbing alcohol in a bottle with a foam pump to remove my dust before my art. It's been a really nice change.

LOVE! Thank you! Also this makes so much sense, so question - why when I get builder gel done at the salon I swear all they do is drill on the nail, like even after the gel is applied. But seeing how people put it on themselves I genuinely don’t understand why they drill down the builder gel.

I’ve been doing my own nails for about 5 years. I switched to almond and I feel like I need to move my apex juuust a little because of the length and new stress area on them. I attempted to do that yesterday but failed on some. Do you put your bead where you want the apex to be or do you just know from memory? It seems like the easiest fix but some are a little flat.
