@amber.accountability: Replying to @Natty TLDR; we’ve decided not to roll forward our credit card minimum payments into season 2. This is a two fold decision that was made after reviewing our current financial position and our annual budget. 1) we have some big expensive medical items coming up for our kids. We did not have these fully prefunded and they need to happen; so they likely would have been put on a credit card. 2) we are subject to paying income taxes on our social media income. There are 3 parts to that income currently, TikTok earnings (from views), brand partnerships, and contributions. These contributions are not considered a gift in the eyes of the US IRS (based on my research - consult your own licensed professional for your specific situations; I am not providing any tax advice), as they are related to my social media presence. I have only ever put TikTok earnings and brand partnership earnings into a tax savings account and have never diverted any amount from contributions to anything other than the debt instead. Because of that, we are significantly behind on our potential tax liability savings account. To transparent with you all, and to be a more financially prepared human, we will be diverting additional funds that are now available in our personal family budget to medical expenses and tax savings until we are in a position to comfortable increase our minimum payments again. #debtpayoff #debtpayoffjourney #micropayments #debtfreejourney #Budgeting

It’s crazy that you say it may not sit right with a few of your tik tok friends.. because we have been here from day 1 rooting for you to get out of debt. Obviously I don’t personally want to see you spiral back down. You have grown so much and you are thinking about the future. Keep up the amazing work!

Smart to budget for this. Sounds like you will figure this into your daily micropayment: “ $100 minus the government’s portion of 25% leaves $75 to put toward our micropayment today.

Absolutely! Paying quarterly estimated taxes will help - you can get charged with interest for not doing so.

So basically she's going to have to cover. Let's say 10% of her total debt. That is paid off in taxes. So a hundred and fifteen thousand plus seventy two thousand total taxes. She's going to have to pay, is 18,700 which is ten percent of her total debt at the end of the year.

Got you Amber! I have another question - would it be better to have all the loans consolidated at the same interest rate? So you don’t have to deal with multiple different terms?

I think you’re the first micro payment content creator to actually talk about the tax liability. That is such a smart thing to share.
