@drdavidmorris: Could Your Gut or Gums Affect Your Heart Rhythm? Researchers are exploring how atrial fibrillation (AFib), chronic inflammation, gut health, oral bacteria, the gut microbiome, periodontal disease, vagus nerve function, heart rhythm, and cardiovascular health may be connected in some individuals. While these findings don't apply to every case, they highlight why a whole-body approach to health may be worth discussing with your healthcare provider. 💬 Did you know researchers are studying connections between oral health, gut health, and heart rhythm? #AFib #AtrialFibrillation #HeartHealth #GutHealth #OralHealth #Inflammation #CardiovascularHealth #FunctionalMedicine #VagusNerve #murfreesboro #functionalmedicine #magnoliamedicalcenter #rootcause #fyp #viral

You’re so right!! Everytime I get a cold or flu I end up in Afib! When my gut is acting up I have afib. You’re absolutely correct with what you are saying!

I’ve known a couple of people who got the cold virus going around and then ended up with an irregular heart rhythm afterwards. How common is that after a cold or flu virus?
