I’m Israeli and I was here on October 7. What happened on that day was hell. There’s no words to describe it. And yes, it was carried out by gazans. However does that mean every gazan was a part of it? No. There are innocents in Gaza and what their radicalized people do is not their responsibility. The same way I don’t want to take the responsibility of every thing every Jew across the world does. Multiple things can be true at once. October 7 was pure evil. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that there are innocent people who are hurting from what happened that day. People that had nothing to do with it. I don’t know what the “solution” is but I do know that I can still have empathy for innocent gazans. I will never take away from October 7, I was in Israel and I’ll never forget it, and I want those responsible to pay. But I am heartbroken for the innocents in Gaza- even if it were only 1 person - whose lives are lost and ruined becauce of this.
