@iamtonykyle1: The Prophet said every bid'ah is misguidance. Umar said 'what a good bid'ah.' Who do you follow? 🤝 #islam #hadithoftheday #islamicreminder
He prayed 3 times in congregation… he didn’t forbade it… he just stopped for not to be obligatory but that was removed after he died

He didn’t changed. Praying traweeh isn’t compulsory. It’s a choice and there’s no harm in it.

first of all its was not umar who added an extra call for prayer it was uthman , at the time of the prophet they use one azan when the imam is on the pulpit, uthman added an azan before that to alert people that friday prayer is approaching , he did that coz the poulation had grown and the city had expanded . and thats not changing anything in the religion coz the main purpose of azan is to inform and alert people.

the question is how can you have aan constantly consult imam Ali regarding the Deen . a man who was overflowing with knowledge but was not the first khalifa
Umar countless times said if Ali wasn't there (to consult matters regarding laws religion and morals) I would have been in distress

The argument is the hadith: ...So you must adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Rightly Guided Caliphs (Al-Khulafa' Ar-Rashidun Al-Mahdiyyun).... Jami' at-Tirmidhi (2676) dhe Sunan Abi Dawud (4607):

this is Lack of knowledge. Listen or ask Sheikh Muhammad al Dadaw. There is Bid'a Hasanah, it exists. As long as it has a fundament in the Shariah , or is proven by RasulAllah. Taraweeh is a kind of night prayer in congregation, yet in Ramadan it has more reward. you may pray it alone, while in congregation it's 27 time more rewarded. RasulAllah allowed his companions to stand in prayer with him for Taraweeh, so it's not an innovation at all. He just was afraid, that some could take it as an obligatory prayer. Pray alone if you like, but millions of Muslims take the chance to get reward from Allah for this gathering.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ actually prayed Taraweeh in congregation with his companions for several nights. He then stopped leading it, not because it was wrong, but because he feared it might become obligatory upon the Muslims. This is authentically reported in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.
After the Prophet ﷺ passed away, revelation had ended, so there was no longer any possibility of Taraweeh becoming obligatory. Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) simply gathered the people behind one imam and revived an existing Sunnah—he did not invent a new act of worship.
When Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “What an excellent bid’ah (innovation) this is,” he was using the linguistic meaning of the word “bid’ah” (something newly organized), not the religious meaning of introducing a new act of worship. The act itself already had a clear basis in the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.
Also, if you are new to Islam, I would sincerely advise you to be careful before criticizing the companions of the Prophet ﷺ. Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) was one of the Prophet’s closest companions, one of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and someone whom the Prophet ﷺ praised on many occasions. Before questioning his actions, it is important to first understand the authentic historical and scholarly context rather than making assumptions.
