This! I hate having puppies. Much more work, and they're so tiny and frail. I'm not rescuing anymore after my girl though. Her vet bills have put me off for life, forever going to go with well bred dogs

I’m with you. I have a 12 week old choc lab who has totally turned a corner this past week with training and sleeping etc. still ready for him to be grown. Lol. He’s awesome. But I’m ready.

4 is the perfect age I wish would never end. Im excellent at picking shelter dogs and that is why I go there. I always ask for dogs atleast 3 years old. Ill look at a 2 year old, but they usually have teenager energy and attitude still. Especially if they are little dogs. I picked up a 3 year old last year. He was a bonded dog and came with his 2 year old companion. And without fail, she was an asshole for another year. We got her lined out, though. Shes a great dog now. I considered taking her back no less than 100x. Lol
