I Agree, lessons learned. Went thru Red Hat to Ubuntu/Debian to Gentoo decades ago. Arch is nice but I still love Gentoo more. You can throw any linux distro to me and I'm in home.

i started by arch then to mangaro os then to ubunto lts 24.04 then fedora then windows 10 ltsc then to mint then to pop os then ubunto 26 and now i am in debian 🤦😅

after arch you go two roads, larp even more with gentoo and lfs or return to working distros like fedora or debian. and then there's slackware
