Sony is totally taking a play from the evil villain playbook. They are totally burning through years of good will in a matter of days! As a former long term Sony fan, I’m totally livid with Sony and okay with just walking away from the ecosystem and take up a new hobby! I bought both physical and digital, but now I’ll only buy physical and will not buy any hardware that does not have a disk drive. So ps5 will be my last Sony branded product!

In my opinion, Sony under Hiroki Totoki no longer reflects the vision that made PlayStation what it is today. The original vision was about putting gamers and great products first. Today, too many decisions seem driven by financial targets rather than preserving the trust and passion that built the brand. Steve Jobs once warned that companies lose their way when they're run by people who no longer truly understand the product or the customers who made it successful. That's how PlayStation feels to many longtime fans today. A company can maximize profits and still lose the values that made people love it in the first place.

I’ve moved away from console to steam because I lost love for those brands, yes it’s still digital but it doesn’t feel as scammy as the other platforms, there’s some competition from online sellers for cheap prices

I know this is kinda of stupid, but games like Fortnite that were free to play were probably 80% of the sales because when you click the free button you still get the message of confirming purchase even when games are free! Streamers are also getting game codes and that’ll most likely confirm purchase too as sales! It’s bullshit especially since certain games are cheaper on physical copies , Lego Batman was an example digital was £10 more than physical at release! Indiana jones was also £15 cheaper physically!
