@anna..papalia: Your job in a job interview is to tell me who you are, what you can do and where you want to go. My job as the interviewer is to figure out if what you’re offering is what we need. You need to be prepared to answer interview questions by knowing what you offer. It’s my job to ask great interview questions to test your technical skills and see if you would be a good fit at my company. But I can’t do my job if don’t do yours. If you come to an interview unprepared, you’re making my job a lot harder. And I don’t want to work hard. If you come to an interview not knowing who you are and what you offer, I am not going to spend time trying to figure that out. I am not a career coach; I am a hiring manager. I am not a therapist I am your future boss. Make it easy for me to hire you by doing your job.
