Reselling isn't just about finding a trending product, throwing it on a website, and waiting for sales. That's exactly what I thought too. I've been in the reselling business since 2022, and honestly, I wish someone had explained this to me earlier. Back in 2020, before launching my first brand, I spent a lot of time following the wrong advice, testing things that didn't work, and trying to understand why I wasn't getting the results I expected. Everything started changing when I realized that the problem wasn't simply finding another product. I had to understand how to position the product, who actually needed it, how to build trust, and how to create a clear roadmap around the business. I also learned that this isn't a “start with $0 and make thousands overnight” business. There are domains, software, marketing, promotions, testing, suppliers, logistics, branding, and plenty of other costs that come with building something serious. What I learned the hard way is simple: People buy solutions, not random products. Product quality matters. Branding matters. Positioning matters. Shipping matters. Trust matters. Those lessons came from failure, testing, rebuilding, and eventually refining the structure that worked for us. Since then, I've built multiple brands for myself and helped friends who wanted to avoid the same costly mistakes I made. Today, the brands we've built generate $11K+ in sales biweekly. I'm not sharing this to make ecommerce sound easy. I'm sharing it because if you're going to build, build with the lessons that failure already taught someone else.
