Every year people act like the sky is falling because the names aren’t the ones they expected, and every year somebody comes out of that class and reminds everyone why XXL exists in the first place. This year, that somebody is Slayr. His energy, versatility, and ability to create moments put him in a different lane. While people are busy making memes and writing the class off, Slayr is about to turn the freestyle into a statement that people will be replaying for years. People don’t realize they’re watching the beginning of something special. Slayr isn’t just another rapper filling out a freshman class, he’s the kind of artist who shifts the conversation. The charisma, the confidence, the delivery, the presence, everything about him screams superstar. Some artists rap, but Slayr commands attention the second he touches a microphone. He has the type of aura that can’t be taught, the type that makes people stop scrolling and actually pay attention.
