People who criticize this game didn’t play it and don’t realize mental health takes a huge role in a standard playthrough, with 100% completion earning you the true ideology of your player character and the games creator, that as much as people in this profession are heroic in depiction, in most of their eyes their just a glorified clean up crew to atrocities that already occurred. They didn’t prevent it, and as such they do not feel like hero’s, most don’t even feel as if they’re bettering the world because they go into these situations monthly, showing no matter how big a bust, the market still thrives. Creating new victims daily. That’s why there is a semblance of relief taking down this evil. But that comes before the realization the fight is never over. Evil is born and made daily. And it’s better at hiding as it knows its deviant nature. The abhorrence of your enemy perpetuates the desire to give them a violent end or the hand of justice. There is no glorification other than momentary satisfaction before realizing you didn’t stop them from victimizing those they already did. Like how revenge doesn’t subside one’s grief.
