Meanwhile, my 30 year experienced machinist broke $2000 worth of tools while I was in the office writing his next program. The part he was building had 8 hours in it, and $250 in material. He also forgot to tighten the chuck so the last is now scrap. It’s a $1200 part and I’m now in it for $3200 counting labor. Trust in today’s labor force is hard to imagine. These are CNC machines. You set it up, touch off on your work, and hit a button. Systems don’t get much simpler

100% agree !! Processes and procedures systems is another thing that’s different between a $1 million owner and a $10 million owner. That’s what I experience.!!

I’m at 2.5 and recently hired a few guys who know way more than I do. I realized I do t need to know everything and know more then everyone who works for me. Put the people in the right positions and I’m pretty confident I’ll be my revenue will be going up massively once it starts paying off
