"Superhero" shouldn't be a genre. The worst superhero movies are the ones that focus too much on superheros. Every superhero movie should be a different genre based on the hero in the film. The best CBM's have proven this

so many projects both marvel and dc have put out would be so much better if they didn't write them in the same action movie format. how much I wish the Thor films were written as a proper fantasy film trilogy instead of the same action template as a lot of other films in the mcu is ridiculous.

Hollywood treating Superheroes like a genre is why they suck so much recently. The reason why The Incredibles is the perfect superhero movie was precisely because it wasn't a superhero movie. It was a family drama that used superheroes as a conduit for its story telling

It’s still so wild to me that through the entire MCU run since Iron Man, Hulk hasn’t gotten a single solo movie. Just side character slots in ensemble movies or other hero solo movies/shows
