Actually I really don't like the air, Just because I get cold, easily, So I will put it on to cool it off, Than I either turn down low, or I turn the air vents away from me. I always wear shorts or tank top in summer, Every time we would go to my ex mother in laws, Yes its her choice, But I would freeze, she would have it on full blast so I would have to go outside. wear a sweater, and put a blanket on me.. Besides I live in Michigan, its freezing 🥶 ,cold for 9 months, lol I love my 3 months of summer!!😅

If you’re four cylinder loses power with AC on it has to be an old one. Newer cars you don’t feel the difference.

At least roll the windows down? I agree you should not be in and out of air conditioning is not good for you. Someone who worked outside and has had heat stress multiple times DO NOT go into air conditioning. This is ass backwards though. Bring an electrolyte drinks and use shade when you can. Place a cold pack on the back of your neck and chill.

Gonna get to the festival already hot and sweaty. You’re going to raise your core temperature before you even have to be out in it for no reason. There’s no “getting used to it.” It’s actually putting them at risk for heat stroke by coming in hot.

So my Subaru AC is currently broken, and whenever I offer to drive, I ALWAYS tell people ahead of time that I don’t have AC. I’d hate to be surprised by being sweaty and uncomfortable 😬

Nah, F that. It has been in late 90s here and I roll my windows up after about five mins of driving to air my vehicle out. The heat is too much.

No absolutely NTA!! If your “friend” cared about your wellbeing and the wellbeing of the others then they should’ve just put the ac on. Hell o would’ve bailed too, I hate sweating

Sometimes I do that, no ac in our weather here in Australia but that's my choice. If I have passengers, I take their comfort into consideration & turn it on

I learned to drive in a 1995 manual transmission 4 cylinder Ford Escort. Running the AC did not change the the horsepower in any kind of significant way.

ya but having the windows down ALSO affects the horsepower because its no longer aerodynamic. So its smarter to use the A/C

Over about 35 mph, (on the cars Myth Busters tested), you get worse gas mileage with the windows down because it makes the car less aerodynamic.

The inside of a car is usually hotter inside too. I am a cold person so I often enjoy warmth and the widows down but my partner is always hot so i use AC and hen he’s with me.

I have a 4 cylinder car and I have a whole separate system that runs the ac in my car. it's accounted for. there's no excuse.
