@tori_and_nessa: The perfect recipe for when you’re craving chocolate 🍫 Double Chocolate Cake🥛 Ingredients: 1 3/4 cups sugar 2 cups flour 3/4 cups cocoa powder 2 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 2 eggs 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 cup buttermilk 2 tsp vanilla 3/4 cup hot espresso Buttercream Ingredients: 3/4 cups room temperature unsalted butter 1 cup cocoa powder 1/4 cup milk 1/4 cups heavy cream 3 Tbsp light corn syrup 1 tsp vanilla 5 cups powdered sugar Instructions: 1. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, flour, and cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. 2. Add the eggs, oil, buttermilk, and vanilla. Whisk to combine. 3. Slowly stir in the espresso until combined and smooth. 4. Divide the batter into three 8’’ prepared cake pans and bake at 350 degrees until a toothpick comes out clean. 5. For the buttercream, use a mixer to whip the butter cream for 30 seconds, then add the cocoa powder. Mix until combined and there are no lumps. 6. In a small bowl, heat the milk and heavy cream until slightly warm. 7. Add the milk, corn syrup, and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix until smooth and glossy. 8. Slowly incorporate the powdered sugar on low speed until combined. 9. Once the cake layers are cool, use the buttercream to stack the cake layers together, and evenly spread the rest onto the top and edges of the cake.
