For some reason my brain decided THIS is the point I want to start a fic at. Basically my inserted character is a third choice engineer (leaving it open to what happened to the primary and secondary choices) and my character wakes up due to the ship’s g-force. She hears the sounds Rocky makes and the alarms going off.
