@dailyspacetime: 🌕 Earth seen in a new light: moonlight! The crew of Artemis II snapped an incredible photo of our home planet from their Orion spacecraft after heading towards the Moon. Instead of being lit by the Sun, the full disk of Earth is illuminated only by moonlight. This rare view turns Earth into a deep-space object. Because it was taken in such low light, you can see details normally washed out by the Sun, including glowing city lights and green auroras on the night side.
