I never truly understood the greatest sacrifice a wife makes compared to her husband until I listened to a sermon on the morning of Eid al-Adha. The speaker reminded us that one of the greatest sacrifices of a woman is when she carries and gives birth to her husband’s children. In that moment, she faces pain and the risk of life and death to bring new life into this world. That reflection changed my perspective. Today, I have even greater respect, love, and appreciation for my wife. May Allah ﷻ reward her for every sacrifice she has made for our family. InsyaAllah, I pray that we remain together in this life and are reunited in Jannah. Aamiin.
