Iduopa :
Not every dream we had came true, and unfortunately, this journey ended in a way none of us wanted. But Cristiano Ronaldo gave us everything he possibly could.
He gave everything not only to his supporters but also to Portugal, the country he proudly represented. From a young age, he carried the weight of an entire nation on his shoulders.
I still remember the 2013 World Cup play-off against Sweden. Portugal needed someone to step up, and Cristiano did exactly that. He carried the team through one of its toughest moments, scoring a remarkable hat-trick to send his country to the World Cup.
The same happened against Spain in 2018. Whenever Portugal needed a leader, he accepted the responsibility without hesitation. Time and time again, he gave Portuguese fans moments of joy, pride, and belief. They could always say, "We have Cristiano Ronaldo."
Sadly, when he needed the same level of support in return, he didn't always receive what he truly deserved.
Ironically, many of us who are not even Portuguese seem to appreciate him more than some of those he represented. That speaks volumes about the impact he has had on football across the world.
Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't need a World Cup trophy to prove his greatness. His legacy was built long before this tournament. He reached the summit of world football through his talent, discipline, consistency, and relentless desire to be the best.
For me, there is no debate. Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest footballer of all time.
He made millions of people fall in love with football. More importantly, he became an example far beyond the game, showing what hard work, determination, and self-belief can achieve.
I will always admire him, and I will always be grateful for everything he has given us.
Viva Ronaldo. Forever. 🤍🐐
