My dad has done every remodel they’ve done on their house. That means by default, I also did every remodel they’ve done to their house. I’m successfully self-employed, have a relatively healthy relationship with work/life balance, and also a huge tool kit of DIY skills that make my life much easier to live as an adult because of it. Keep letting him help. He’s doing great and will be a fantastic adult for it, too!

I love seeing kids have hobbies that will benefit them long term. I have a friend who did this as a kid and by 18, he started his general contractor business and had dozens of references from previous projects.

THIS KIDDO IS AMAZING!!... My 8-year-old has autism And he can't read or write but he sure can scuba dive.. that is JJ with all the heavy gear on him, getting used to it. first time in water he got it and he was under! These young boys are just absolutely amazing.. it just shows you kids with autism can do anything that is of interest to them 💙💙.. So fortunate we were able to find his... You're definitely onto something Daddy! You and your wife are doing a great job raising your young son..

Fantastic parenting job!! I’d have to say the people who give negative responses…. Well, I think they’re just plain jealous. I honestly don’t know many young adults at this point in life that could even read a tape measure or cut the correct size piece. You were raising your son to be self-sufficient, self-respect, and not sit around, waiting for mommy and daddy to fix everything for them. We need more parents like you. BRAVO 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥇
