you don’t understand brother. it’s the shabad, not the “paper”. Our guruji passed on shabad through generations, not the same paper. We don’t worship, we give respect eg. While bowing down giving our “sees” as well as doing a parkarma.

same with Hindus, they don't worship idols, the idol is used as a focal point to help concentrate the mind, the SGGS is same, it's used as a focal point

It is very hard for people to distinguish between showing utmost respect to the Guru Granth Sahib - as it is a book embodying the spirit of the Guru - from worshipping. Unfortunately like worship people expect their utmost respect to bring answers to their prayers. The Gurus provide the path and means to God - they are not God.

True the Guru Granth Sahib is called the living guru (not bc it’s alive but it contains the LIVING WORDS OF THE GURU TO THIS DAY (Gods divine word). Bowing down to the Guru Granth Sahib is just a sign of respect, not worship. Just how boys bow down and touch their feet of their elders as a sign of respect, not worship. We only worship Ik Onkar. We don’t believe in the old definition of God (we don’t believe that God is seperate from us in a different realm or that God is a seperate entity). We treat life and everything as God because God not aseparate entity but it’s an underlying formless energy permeating in all creation including every atom. It’s spiritual and God is within us all. The Guru Granth Sahib also says anyone who believes that a rock is God is a fool. And the gurus said not to worship them as God or you will go to hell. The reason they said this is because they humbled themselves to the creator with no ego. We believe the Gurus had the divine light of God but they themselves as flesh are not God. They were one with God because they achieved enlightenment (mukthi). They became a part of the creator.
And when to Guru Granth Sahib mentions allah and hindu avatars it doesn’t mean it believes in those, it’s saying that whatever ur worshiping is IK Onkar bc their is Only 1 God. It rejects avatars saying they were limited by power and time and thus they are not God. It rejects pilgrimage, praying in a certain direction, fasting and other religious rituals bc they do not bring u closer to God. Mentioning diff names of God and other religious practices is used to explain Ik Onkar and thise diff names and practices are used as examples, not that Sikhs believe in it.
